Blue Magic improves to 2-0 with a win over CTC

Game three of the day featured the first matchup this year between two undefeated teams. Team Blue Magic came out on top, beating Team Competitive Training Company, 59-52, to improve to 2-0. With the loss, CTC dropped to 1-1, but both teams will play tomorrow.

 

The game was a back-and-forth affair throughout, heading into the break tied at 26. Blue Magic led by six entering the fourth quarter and kept CTC at bay in the fourth quarter.

 

Player of the Game Brandon Austin led the way for Blue Magic, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. Joining him with double-figure points were Temple graduate Scootie Randall (13) and Marcus Bell (10).

 

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Lamar Stevens headlined CTC’s roster. Stevens, who played high school ball at The Haverford School and Roman Catholic, had a game-high 17 points. Former Villanova players James Bell and Dhamir Cosby-Roundtree also scored in double figures with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
