Blue Magic dominated the interior in win over BLF

The year is 2021 and Blue Magic just won a basketball game without making a three-point field goal in the second half.

After trailing by five at halftime Blue Magic made a very simple change that led them to their 66-63 victory over Born Leader Family.  Don’t waste time outside of the arc and simply attack the paint.  After going scoreless in the first, Magic’s Mike Cuffee led a second-half burst with 12 points to go along with 8 rebounds in the game.  He dominated the second half but it was his teammate Ramone Moore who led the game in scoring with 24 points.

Born Leader Family looked like the more complete team in the first half leading 41-36 at the break, but they were yet to see Blue Magic’s full arsenal.  Magic fed the duo of Cuffee and Moore right out of the break, tying the game at 52 all in the paint and from the free throw line.

Blue Magic didn’t make a field goal outside of the paint in the second half until a fade away midrange jumper gave Magic a 59-57 lead with 5:30 left in the game.

With five seconds left in the game Blue Magic were up 66-63 and missed the front end of a one-and-one.  The door was open for a brief moment, but BLF were unable to corral the ball and were handed the loss.
