After trailing by nine points at the half, For The Culture stormed back against REX6 cutting their lead to one with under a minute left to play. Wali Hepburn came through with a clutch steal and the game-winning free throws to seal the game with one thought on his mind.
“We had to win that game,” Hepburn said.
Day Two at The Danny Rumph Classic kicked off with Game One of the Loser’s Bracket, and it was Wali’s world as Hepburn led Rex6 over The Culture 70-67.

Hepburn started off hot setting the tone in the first half with 11 points. He finished the game with 20 points and five rebounds earning Player of the Game.
The Philadelphia native played his high school ball at Nuemann-Goretti before attending Shippensburg and later Lock Haven. Hepburn averaged 20 points and six rebounds over a three-year career at Lock Haven.
Hepburn has played professionally in the American Basketball Association and also had stints playing in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador and Canada.
Hepburn currently plays for the Atlantic City Gambits of The Basketball League averaging seven points.
